Discovery & Matching
Nationwide discovery is the platform's core promise: find relevant local influencers and businesses without a single hour of manual outreach.
How discovery works
For each city the platform is live in, an automated weekly cycle:
- Identifies candidate creator profiles from public sources, and identifies local businesses through a structured business listing source.
- Reads each candidate's public profile to extract content niche, location, and audience size.
- Classifies niche and location automatically, cross checked against a curated category taxonomy.
- Passes every candidate through a quality qualification gate before it ever reaches a business's match list.
The qualification gate
Unfiltered discovery returns a lot of irrelevant results: national celebrities whose name happens to match a city, brand accounts, and creators genuinely based somewhere else. The qualification gate checks that a candidate is an individual creator, not a brand, and has a genuine, stated connection to the target city, before it is ever shown to a business.
How matching works
- Location match. A business and an influencer in the same city score highest. Common formatting differences, like an abbreviated state name, are handled without producing false matches between genuinely different places.
- Niche relevance. Each business category is mapped to the influencer content niches actually relevant to its customers, so a strong topical match consistently outranks a loose, generic one.
- Discovered and joined creators, together. A business's match list includes both influencers who have joined and relevant creators discovery has found but who have not signed up yet.
Cities go live one at a time
Discovery only runs in cities the platform has activated. A city not yet activated has no public page and no matching pool: accounts there are not exposed until the platform is genuinely ready to serve real traffic in that market.
